It was 8 a.m. when my friend called that she had to cancel our meeting due to an explosion which caused her front glass car teared. She was okay. Then I got on-line watching kompas on facebook: “J.W. Marriott and Ritz-Carlton Hotel were bombed this morning”. In 2006, the same J.W. Marriott was also bombed, so this explosion counted as the second for Marriott and first for Carlton.

The first explosion occurred at 7.45 a.m. at J.W Marriott, causing a panic. Fifteen minutes later a higher explosive bomb blasted at Airlangga restaurant Ritz-Carlton Hotel where sadly most guesses were having breakfasts. Nine people died until this time and 55 are wounded. Thirteen of them are foreign countries citizens. One citizen of New Zealand, Mc Cain a president of Holcim Indonesia, died on the way to the hospital. Edward, a pro-chef at Airlangga restaurant had almost 35% skin burnt and Pieter Van Diesel, a dutch, will be taken to Singapore to anticipate his left leg from amputation. Both hotels are five-stars hotels where mostly attended by foreign countries guesses and expatriates.

The bombing method is as clear as the same method that Noordin M.Top, a former head of Jamaah Islamiah (no longer now; due to financial needs, he has formed new network which has access to Afghanistan. He is still cannot be caught.), used at the Bali bombing on 2005 and Australian Embassy bombing at 2007. This two methods are most common ways to bring the ready-to-blast bomb in Bali, last bombing at J.W.Marriott, and Australian embassy.

After the bombings occurred, SBY held a press conference stating “Siaga 1″, a condition where a situation in certain locations in a place is considered not safe, but the rest locations outside the marked location remain conducive. He surprisingly opened five threats that the intelligence from police figured out: a threat that there will be coup d’ etat at the head quarter of election committee, a threat that in any way to overthrown the SBY governance, if he is about to win the election, in any means of action to not let the inauguration of SBY held (if he is about to win), and particular interest to switch the post election condition as what happened in Iran. SBY showed to the media pictures of terrorists in Kalimantan had a shooting practice with SBY pictures as the target of shooting. The pictures, again as SBY said, are received from the intelligent. They were creepy.

Several motives appeared due to this terrorist action. Some of them were still considered as conspiracy. However, the process is not yet going to the end. The police is still reluctant to answer all questions since the investigation process is still going. But Noordin M.Top’s network mission can always be traced: targeting foreigner at the place which exposed Indonesian lackness to the international communities. Manchester United, the red devil soccer team from England, is planning to have a match with Indonesian All Star soccer team next July 20 and Ritz-Carlton Hotel will be the place where all the favorite MU stars will stay during MU Asian Tour Indonesia 2009. Of course the match shortly canceled by the MU rep at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, due to security concern. You just can’t believe how many Indonesian were so disappointed about the cancellation of MU match. The next possible motive is related to the post presidential election where quick count from Indonesian Survey Organization have released that temporary winner is absolutely SBY with 59.67%. This result brought the anger of the opponents because there will be no second round of presidential election if SBY wins more than 50% voices. Megawati and Prabowo were asked by the media during the day about the possibility of relation between the bomb and the losses of election. Well, it could happened, of course, but I hardly believe this blast related to the election. The motive is clear the terrorists do not want the blood; what they want all the chaotic and not conducive situation. So, post election is the perfect time to accuse one party, or even bigger, accusations will predictably go around among the parties.

Just aired on the news 8.34 p.m., a head without body was found on the level 3 of the J.W. Marriott hotel. The shape is still quiet clear, with initial N, there will be easier investigation starting from this proof. This head founding is completely same as what happened in last bombing at J.W. Marriott at 2006 where the bomber’s head was thrown from the blasted car full of bombs and founded at level 4 of the hotel.

I’ll report you later, but my opinion now is foreigner would be very safer to stay at no-star place as Wisma where maybe no people have political or private security interest toward the family who run the wisma than stay at super security check system at five-stars hotels where foreigners and expatriates prefer to stay.
